Are you overwhelmed with maintaining staff morale post-pandemic?
Sound Familiar?
Are you struggling with balancing the academic and emotional needs of your students with the emotional needs of your staff?
Are you tired of dealing with complaints and negativity? Are you tired of dealing with difficult and toxic adults in general?
Do you worry you aren’t having a positive impact on the students and teachers in your school?
Are you ready to lead by example with courage and create more time for yourself while seeing results you and your staff deserve?
Are you looking for ways to motivate your staff, provide more intentional time for teachers, and increase teacher buy-in?
I GET IT! When I became principal of my school 16 years ago, I was faced with overcoming a toxic culture of distrust, teachers were working in silos, there was a lack of collaborative environment, and there was no shared vision for the school. All of these things hindered student achievement results. As a strong instructional leader, I thought I knew how to turn it around.
Despite my years of training as a teacher and instructional coach, I felt like my wheels were spinning but I wasn’t getting any traction with teacher efficacy. Even after implementing high leverage instructional strategies, I was getting minimal student achievement results. I finally realized I was failing to focus on what mattered most, which was really the culture and climate of my staff and teachers. It took me years to learn what the role of administrator actually meant. Through trial and error, I began to understand that my role was to develop systems and structures that cultivated an environment of trust and collaboration which led to increased teacher buy-in and a shared vision for the school. Through the collective commitment of all stakeholders, the silos of everyone doing their own thing were dismantled which allowed for a collaborative culture that moved away from MY student to OUR students.
Because people started understanding the benefits of collaboration, we were able to develop high functioning PLC’s. Once I began achieving success, I started supporting other principals to help them develop systems and structures that improved their culture and climate, enhanced effective communication, promoted collaboration, and increased teacher commitment through clarity and courage as a leader.
The other principals I coached and mentored began realizing great results as well. Through implementing this system multiple times, I was able to understand that effective leadership really falls into 7 categories.
I’ve been presenting individual components of this system nationally with outstanding results.
Now, I am excited to put all of the components together in this comprehensive 6 week course teaching you the 7 C’s of Effective Leadership.
